Success Within Podcast - Episode 7 - Chad Tourin
Check out the seventh episode of our Success Within Podcast featuring Chad Tourin!
Welcome to Episode 7 of our Success Within Podcast! Jeremy Straub speaks to Chad Tourin to learn what makes him successful. They discuss real-life scenarios, the conversations they are having with their clients, and how they are moving business forward.
On Chad’s journey towards where he is today has been far from smooth, nor did he expect it to be an easy path. Developing a sustainable business takes time and patience, and in the fast-paced, instant gratification city that Miami tends to be, it was tempting to take the easy route and accept a steady salaried-job with an accounting or law firm instead of going through the growing pains of starting your own business. Additionally, as someone who has always been consultative with his clients, it was difficult to occasionally be pigeonholed as “salesperson”, especially in light of the inaccurate stigma that many financial advisors receive. However, as he looked back six years later he attributes much of his success to the fact that his clients and community knew that he always had their best interest at heart and view him as a trusted resource in their lives.
On behalf of everyone in the firm, thank you, Chad Tourin, for taking the time to share your insights and convictions with us. Get your pen and notebook ready for the many takeaways they share!
Some major takeaways from this episode: "When they hear insurance, the walls go up. So if you ask them, lets look at what you have. Lets see what your goals are and find you something that matches, it helps take down the barrier, that this is just an insurance person who is trying to sell me something.”
“I am not going to make any money off 5-8 year old but this helps them learn about finance. The parents ask me ‘when am I going to do something for them?’ Right now, we are focusing on educating the kids. I am building something now that will be able to generate later on”
“The reason I was able to win such a big case was because I actually reviewed everything. Reason two was because I came with multiple solutions. They came with one, I came with five.”
The support and guidance that we provide our clients are invaluable and even in times of uncertainty, we can create extraordinary opportunities so that dreams become reality.
